Proton Recommendation

This page is intentionally separate from the learning tools. If we activate a Proton affiliate link later, we will disclose it clearly and keep the recommendation grounded in privacy, safety, and learning value.

Why Proton Fits

Proton is the only product suite we are endorsing for now because it matches the fieldbook mission: safer accounts, stronger privacy, encrypted communication, password management, VPN use, aliases, and encrypted storage.

Affiliate Disclosure

We are considering applying to Proton's official affiliate program. If accepted and an affiliate link is added, OSINT Fieldbook may earn a commission when users sign up through that link at no extra cost to them. Any commission should support maintenance, training content, labs, and community learning resources.

Partner Status

Proton currently operates an official Partners Program for affiliates and other partner types. Their public partner page describes affiliate options for privacy-focused publishers and creators.

• Privacy starter: Proton Mail, Proton Pass, MFA guide, browser compartmentalization.
• Research safety: VPN basics, account separation, password manager, aliasing, note hygiene.
• Small team: encrypted email, shared drive practices, admin controls, offboarding checklist.

Recommendation Rules

• No hidden ads across the site.
• No recommendation just because a commission is available.
• No products that encourage credential abuse, unsafe scraping, doxing, or harassment.
• Clear disclosure when a link may earn commission.
• Keep this page Proton-only unless a future product fills a real gap Proton does not cover.
